Why did you join Medoutreach?:
MedOutreach will allow me to experience first-hand what the healthcare limitations and needs are in Tanzania. The experience will help to deepen my understanding of global health issues and to accompany my training to become a competent and informed physician. It is also an opportunity for me to dedicate my time to the people in Tanzania. I look forward to collaborating with the other students, learning a new language and culture, and making some new friends on the other side of the world.
- Travelling, yoga, running, painting, camping, spending time with friends and family.
“People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.”
10 years in the future:
I hope to be working in a field of medicine in which I am passionate, and being an active participant in global health. I want to use my experiences from this Tanzania trip to shape future initiatives to advocate for the inequalities in the developing world.
