Undergrad: Queen’s University
Major: Life Sciences
Current: 2nd year Medical Student at UWO
Why did you join Medoutreach?: I’ve always been very passionate about global health and the unique challenges that arise with healthcare in developing countries. I wanted to do something meaningful with my last summer before clerkship, and I’m very excited to be a part of a team that includes both dentistry and nursing, as well as other medical students. I’m looking forward to experiencing the lifestyle and culture in Tanzania and to learn as much as I possibly can!
Hobbies: Hockey, Soccer, Running, Yoga, Reading, Scuba Diving
Favourite quote: “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
10 years in the future: I hope to be practicing medicine in a specialty I love! I’m not sure what that may be yet, but most likely either Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with an emphasis in Obstetrics.
