Why did you join Medoutreach?: Going to Africa as a medical student is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I joined MedOutreach for exactly that reason; for the adventure and the challenge, and to grow on a personal and professional level. Through MedOutreach, I can help accomplish positive change in the lives of others and be a part of something bigger than myself, which is what I always envisioned being a doctor to be all about.

Hobbies: backcountry camping, travelling, reading, baking, fly-fishing

Favourite quote: “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” – Albert Einstein

10 years in the future: With any luck, I see myself practicing in a specialty I’m passionate about (still to be decided which one…), contributing to clinical research, finding time to travel and ultimately, living life and being happy!
